The spending period for enjoying the Airport and China Railway Lounges Privilege is from 5 October 2024 to 28 July 2025 (both dates inclusive). The usage period is from 5 December 2024 to 4 December 2025 (both dates are inclusive).
The complimentary Airport and China Railway Lounges privilege is only applicable to principal holders of UnionPay Diamond Cards and Commercial Cards registered through the designated website (https://www.travelwithloungekey.com/en/home) where the target spending requirement has been reached and the bank card shall be issued in Hong Kong and Macau.
The discounted Airport and China Railway Lounges privilege is applicable to both eligible cardholders and accompanied guests.
Quotas are on a first-come-first-served basis with monthly quotas implemented. Once the quotas are full, redemptions will not be processed. Cardholders who do not successfully redeem their privileges are advised to apply for redemption as early as possible in the following month.
Cardholders are required to achieve the target spending of at least HKD12,000 in Eligible Transactions (as defined in Point 6) in every 2 consecutive statement cycles (i.e. the period covering the first and the last transaction in a single submitted statement) using the same Eligible Card prior to redemption of complimentary Airport and China Railway Lounges privilege (HKD, MOP and CNY spending will be combined for purposes of calculating Eligible Transaction amounts, with every CNY1 or MOP1 spent calculated as HKD1). Registered Cardholders must provide evidence of Eligible Transactions prior to any redemption in connection with these benefits. No redemptions shall be processed without evidence of Eligible Transactions. The spending requirement is calculated based on transactions made with the same card number. To qualify, all spending must be conducted using either a single physical card or a single virtual card only. Spending made with a combination of physical and virtual cards cannot be aggregated.
Eligible Transactions include all kinds of HKD/ MOP/ CNY purchases with eligible UnionPay cards, except transactions not posted, cash advances, balance transfers, P2P transfers, SVF wallet top-ups, instalment loans, instalment transactions, finance charges, late charges, account service charges, payments for insurance policies issued by insurance companies, tax payments, bill payments, RentSmart payments and any transactions that have been canceled or refunded. Full bank statement shall be uploaded for further validation of Eligible Transactions, or else the submission will be deemed invalid. A maximum of two bank statements can be uploaded.
When presenting the Means of Access on entering a Lounge or Merchant, Customer is required to inform staff that they wish to enter using Programme by referencing “LoungeKey”. Staff will verify eligibility to enter the Lounge or Merchant by checking the Means of Access visually and then electronically recording the Means of Access through a card/code reader, taking an imprint of the Means of Access or otherwise entering the details into a secure system. Staff will also enter the number of guests, if any, accompanying Customer. If requested, Customer must sign the Record of Visit voucher, card reader screen and/or confirm by signing the electronic reader, as applicable, that the Lounge or Merchant has reflected the exact number of guests, if any, when confirming access but does not show any per person per visit charge. The charge per visit for Customer, where relevant, and that for any guests will be based on the ‘Record of Visit’ voucher/ log submitted by the Lounge or Merchant. The electronic record of Customer’s visit will be considered valid evidence of Customer accessing the Lounge or Merchant. Guests must register and enter the Lounge or Merchant location at the same time as Customer.
Cardholders who meet the spending requirement with validated bank statements will receive an entitlement email and will be eligible for 3x complimentary lounge visits until the end of the program. Each eligible card is entitled to a maximum of three complimentary lounge visits until program ends. The privileges is available on a first come, first served basis.
The validity period of evidence of Eligible Transactions is 2 calendar months from the end of each statement cycle. Overdue evidence is ineffective.
Evidence of Eligible Transactions between 5 October 2024 and 4 December 2024 shall be submitted no later than 6 January 2025.
In instances where the program is functioning normally, cardholders are required to finalize their last transaction by 28 July 2025, and submit all relevant bank statements by 18 August 2025.
Upon making any redemption, Cardholders are required to provide their full names and card numbers (as they appear on the Eligible Cards), contact phone numbers, and evidence of the Eligible Transaction(s) made with the same Eligible Card during the Program Period. Redemption shall be made through the designated website.
The validation of bank statements will take up to 17 business days before lounge entitlements are granted. Cardholders are advised to allow sufficient time for this process prior to their trip.
Eligible Cardholders can enjoy the designated LoungeKey Airport and China Railway Lounges privilege.
This privilege cannot be exchanged for cash.
This privilege cannot be used in conjunction with other offers.
All Airport and China Railway Lounges privilege redemptions are subject to availability, the terms and conditions of the promotion, and the service provider's rules and regulations.
The redemption or performance of the benefits of the Airport and China Railway Lounges is solely the responsibility of the merchant.
To guarantee your eligibility for lounge access, after your payment card is swiped at lounge, you may see a temporary charge in your payment card transaction history and some LoungeKey customers will receive a SMS/text message from the bank about a visit charge. This is solely a “pending” transaction and your card will NOT be charged immediately. After your eligibility is verified, the pending amount will be removed (usually within 10-14 business days).
Without prejudice to local laws and regulations, LoungeKey™ has the right to modify or cancel any or all Airport and China Railway Lounges privilege redemptions without prior notice.
Benefits will be provided by authorized partners and some of your personal information may be shared with partners to provide better customer service and user experience. Your personal information will only be shared for legitimate and specific purposes and will only share the personal information necessary to provide the service. Authorized partners are not authorized to use shared personal information for any other purpose.
These terms and conditions are written in both Chinese and English. In case of any inconsistency between the Chinese and English contents, the Chinese version shall prevail.
